Penning our final message down to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Too many thoughts in my mind - I just can't express my feelings. So much happened in the past few days, Sir, and the world has been mourning over your passing ever since. Little did I expect to see so many amazing acts which followed up thereafter.

Elderly and wheelchair-bound barely able to walk but struggling through queues to pay their respect, Singaporeans waiting 10-hours long for their turn without a sound of complaint, volunteers offering complimentary bottled water and snacks to the public. Beautiful bouquets of flowers and gifts overflowing with love, shop houses closed in mark of respect, and even free-of-charge car decals given out to pay tribute to you.

It's fascinating how you're able to bring our nation closer together even after your passing. These are truly rare acts we don't see everyday and it really, really warms my heart witnessing such heartening gestures. You owed us nothing for the sacrifices you've done, and today, we owe it all to you.

And we can't feel grateful enough for all that you've done for us. You were, and still are, a brilliant man.

Thank You, Sir.
