I'm finally back from my 5D4N trip to Patong Beach, Phuket with my boyfriend, and it was tremendously fun considering it was our first time on a self-drive road trip. Of course, as a huge Airbnb fan, I was already looking up on affordable and highly rated accommodations along Patong Beach ― the most famous and highly frequented beach in Phuket island. After scanning through countless of cool apartments, we settled for the Modern Studio Nadia hosted by Sebastian.

The 4.5 stars rated Modern Studio Nadia accommodates up to 3 people, where guests can have the entire apartment to themselves with a king bed and a side sofa bed. This would be great for couples or small families who are looking at renting a comfortable loft to stay for a holiday retreat, yet not breaking their wallets. The apartment has a security guard on a night shift duty who's really friendly and puts us at ease on the level of safety.

Located 500 metres from the gorgeous beachfront, you do need a short 15-20 minutes walk from the beach to the apartment as it requires some uphill walking. However, it's perfect exercise at their local city and plus, you get an amazing rooftop view overlooking town. Of course, if you'd prefer to lighten the hassle of climbing up, there's always an option of getting the local people to ride you up via motorcycles or tuk-tuk. For us, as we rented our car for the entire stay in Phuket, it was a breeze riding up!

For a small and cozy apartment, we were impressed by the many amenities offered! There was a kitchen, bathroom, TV, wardrobe, free Wifi (everyone needs this!) and even a washer that was really convenient. How can we forget about the relaxing rooftop pool and the indoor gym to burn some calories? On days when we just felt like lazing, we'd hit the pool, submerge ourselves in the cooling waters and just take in the fresh air while overlooking the marvelous view from above. It's a private pool that's shared within the community in the building, so it's not very packed. Some days, you have the whole pool to yourself! For guests who drive, there's also free parking on premises, along with really adorable dogs who greet you whenever you reach the lobby!

Bathroom & Kitchen:

What's not to love about an Airbnb apartment with a bathroom that provides free toiletries? Shampoo, soap and the like, along with toilet rolls (but may not be refillable). We also made our own breakfast using their tools and pans from the kitchen, and had a little fridge to store our chilled items. For ladies who are into masking, just pop your mask in the fridge overnight and wear it nice and cooling the following day!

One slight disappointment was not being able to meet our host personally as we would be more than happy to say hello, but Sebastian did assign his assistant to pass us the keys. She only left it on the counter at the lobby, but was quick to pick up our calls locally to provide us with the details and was helpful over the phone. Sebastian was also quick to assist and provide us with recommendations and his tips on staying in Phuket, through the Airbnb platform and mobile text. Plus, the security guard was really friendly and greeted us each night we reach back our apartment!

Overall Experience:

The entire apartment was clean, with a tiny balcony and many amenities that came along to make our stay experience comfortable and fruitful. In fact, all guests have free entry to the gym, rooftop pool and their garden! Although online cancellations on the website are strict and check-ins have to be done after 2pm, they were rather flexible with our check-out timing at 12pm and our overall experience was wonderful! Had a great stay at Modern Studio Nadia, so for $54 SGD per night only, we'd totally recommend it to future visitors! Hit me up here for any enquiries.
